Piero Crida

Born in Turin , Italy, Piero Crida did his studies at the Accademia Albertina of Fine Arts. He taught history of art and aesthetics at the Modern Art Museum of Turin and at the European Foundation.

He has designed fabric collections for Missoni , Etro ,and Benetton (Milano) as well as jewelry for Pomellato and Sicard (Geneva), ceramic tiles for Opificio Umbro and graphic illustrations for  Franco Maria Ricci and Rusconi among others.

His illustrations are found in Vogue , Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity and his illuminated manuscript are at the Academy of Science in St. Petersburg (Russia).

About his work , Arturo Schwarz has dedicated one chapter in his volume "L’immaginazione alchemica" ( Salamandra ed. Milano)

His watercolors have been exhibited in Europe, Sri Lanka and United States and have been on auction at Sotheby’s.
